Your guide to where to play, how to prepare, and how to get noticed this summer!

Whether you're a youth player trying to level up, a coach looking for the right tournaments for your team, or a parent trying to plan the summer — this is your complete guide to basketball events happening across Thailand over the next three months.
We've organised every event by tier so you know exactly which ones to target and why.
How to Use This Guide
The smartest approach for player development this summer is to work through events in this order:
• Tier 1 — Local 3x3 events: Get your reps in, build match fitness, and get game footage
• Tier 2 — FIBA-certified 3x3 events: Build your official FIBA player ranking and profile
• Tier 3 — Big 5x5 events: Where coaches are watching, and your full game is on display
Start in June with local 3x3 to get sharp. Move to FIBA-ranked events in July to build your official profile. Then attack the big 5x5 tournaments with momentum.
⚡ Tier 1 — Local 3x3: Get Your Reps In
These grassroots events are perfect for competitive minutes at low cost. Entry fees are affordable (900–2,000 THB per team), and they are happening all over Bangkok and beyond. Most have multiple age groups, so there is something for every level.

💡 TIP: Bring a phone mount to every event. Every game is footage you can use for your highlight reel. You cannot recruit without footage.
⭐ Tier 2 — FIBA-Certified 3x3: Build Your Official Player Profile
These events count toward your official FIBA 3x3 player ranking — a publicly searchable record that coaches and selectors can find. Playing FIBA-certified events is the fastest way to build a verifiable sports profile.
Don't have a FIBA 3x3 profile yet? Create one free at play.fiba3x3.com/signup before you register. Some events require it for eligibility.
BSAT est COLA 3x3 U-League — Free Entry (University Students)
Thailand's national basketball federation (BSAT) runs this official league across three regional stops. If you are a university student, this is your highest-priority event for June and July.
Registration: email bsat3x3@gmail.com — Free entry, shirts provided
⭐ FBA 3x3 Tournament — FIBA Ranking Event
This is the most important event on this list for players who want to build their FIBA 3x3 ranking. Results from this event count directly toward your official ranking. Register early — spots are limited.
💡 TIP: After the FBA 3x3 event, log into your FIBA profile and check that your results have been recorded. Screenshot it — this is part of your recruiting profile.
🏆 Tier 3 — Big 5x5 Events: Where Coaches Are Watching
Five-on-five basketball shows everything that 3x3 cannot — your ability to play within a system, your basketball IQ across four quarters, and your conditioning over multiple days of competition. These are the events that go on your resume and that coaches use to evaluate players for higher-level programmes.
Player Development Tips: How to Use This Summer
1. Play in order
Start with local 3x3 in June to build match fitness and collect footage. Move to FIBA-ranked 3x3 in July to build your official profile. Then hit the big 5x5 events with momentum and a reel already in hand.
2. Record every game
You cannot build a highlight reel without footage. A phone on a tripod at half court is enough. Even imperfect footage is better than none. Make recording a habit at every single event this summer.
3. Review your footage
After each tournament, watch your games back. What did you do well? Where did you lose the ball? How was your body language? One hour of honest review is worth more than five hours of practice without reflection.
4. Build your FIBA 3x3 profile now
Create your profile at play.fiba3x3.com/signup before the season starts. Update it after every FIBA-certified event you play. This is your public sports identity — it should exist and it should be current.
5. Your highlight reel is your recruiting currency
A 60–90 second highlight reel posted to YouTube or Instagram — with your name, age group, and key stats in the caption — is the single most useful thing you can create this summer. Make one after the TYBI Royal Cup, IYBC, and the other FBA 3x3 events. Then share it everywhere.
